Guests at the 013 CIFF This Year: Writer-director Simão Cayatte

Our first-ever Portuguese guest at the 013 CIFF, Drifter writer-director Simão Cayatte studied theatre in London and film in New York, and has acted in films by directors such as Werner Schroeter, Stan Douglas, Cristele Alves-Meira, and Ivo Ferreira. He recently directed the TV Series Vanda, which premiered at the Berlinale Series Market in 2022. He also teaches screenwriting across Europe. He will be on hand to introduce his film and participate in a Q&A with the audience afterwards on Friday, Oct. 20 at 21:30 in Cinema 1. Welcome, Simão!
