Guests at 013 CIFF This Year: Writer-director Nadeshiko Koba

We are very pleased to welcome writer-director Nadeshiko Koba–our first Japanese guest!–to the fifth anniversary of the 013 CIFF for the European premiere of her debut feature, Boneless Lantern. A veteran writer for TV in Tokyo, she moved to Yamaga, Japan, a few years ago, became fascinated by the lantern festival, and turned that fascination into a quirky, charming feature film. She will be on hand to introduce her film and participate in a Q&A with the audience afterwards on Friday, Oct. 20, at 19:00 in Cinema 1. She is making her own way here–with a translator in tow–and staying for the whole festival, so please give her a warm Tilburg welcome when you see her at Cinecitta.
