013 CIFF Guest: Beata Parkanová, writer-director of 'Word'

We are very happy to welcome Beata Parkanová, the Czech writer-director of ‘Word’, to the 013 CIFF, where she will introduce her film and engage in a Q&A session on Saturday, October 29, at the 21:20 screening in Cinema 1. Beata started her career as an author of both novels and children’s books, and she graduated from FAMU (the Czech Film Academy) in 2015. Her first feature film was ‘Chvilky’ (2018), which screened in the East of the West competition at the 2018 edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. ‘Word’ is her second feature film.
