Beginning as a student of French language and literature, writer-director Rusudan Glurjidze moved on to the screenwriting and film directing program at the Georgian State Film and Theatre Institute. Her first feature, House of Others (2017), premiered in the East of the West competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, taking home the Grand Prix and becoming Georgia’s candidate in the 89th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
